When I ask this question today, many church going people, that proclaim to be Christians, tell me that they go to such and such a church. But that really is not the question. I’m not asking if you go to church or even if you know about Jesus, but rather do you know Him? Is He real to you?
You can go to church every day of your life, but this won’t make you a Christian any more than being in a garage will make you a car.
You can know all about Jesus as a historical figure and never know Him. If you don’t know Him, you are in danger of being in the group that at the end of days, Jesus says “depart from me, I never knew you”.
If you can’t say with all honesty that you have met Jesus, and received him as your Lord and Savior, then you are missing the most important thing and most important decision of your life. This is the one decision that will affect you not just on this earth but for eternity.
If you are notĀ sureĀ that if you died right now that you would go to heaven and live with Jesus forever, then you need to meet Jesus and you need to make Him Lord of your life.
You don’t have to be perfect; you don’t even have to be a “good” person. You just have to receive Him and believe on Him and him alone for your eternal salvation.
If you believe Jesus is God and came from heaven to save you and be the eternal sacrifice for your sins, then pray this prayer to the Father in the name of Jesus;
“God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I ask you to come into my heart, be Lord of my life. I turn away from my sins and I turn to you Jesus. Be my Lord, be my Savior. Fill me with your Spirit and save me.
Thank you Jesus. “
Welcome to the family of God.
